How to select PoE Switch?

Specifications Considerations
PoE switch must support IEEE802.3af, and make sure each port is still able to support 15.4 watt output after the connection from all devices.

Distance limitations
The distance between the camera and the PoE Switch should be in the (ideal value) to 100 meters, the actual value of about 80 meters, to avoid transmission of signals and power will be attenuated if reconnection should switch over.

Network Environment
If PoE switch with giga port, we recommend that you connect this to PC by Cat 5e or higher, to achieve better bandwidth.

What PoE switch models are compatible with 3S cameras?
In general, we support most PoE switches on the market. Please refer to lists below. All models have been tested by 3S or reported as compatible by individual users. Some models may be excluded for not being tested or reported yet.

Compatible PoE switch must pass three times plug and unplug tests with two different 100 meters CAT5e standard cables, and still display images properly. Any failure above contributes to the incompatibility result.

Noted: All participated cameras are manufactured from May, 2014 onward.
